This BCTB tissue subcollection consists of FFPE (Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded) blocks: pieces of tissue fixed in formalin, dehydrated and embedded into wax, then thinly sliced for viewing under a microscope. Many of the FFPE samples have associated microscope images and/or tissue micro array (TMA) samples.
