A price survey of a single electric iron across the nation revealed that the average price in December 2016 was 6,783 yen. During the period from January 2015 to December 2016 (the past 24 months), the highest price for an electric iron among supermarkets nationwide was recorded in November 2015 at 7,084 yen, while the lowest price was in August 2015 at 6,566 yen. The price difference between the peak (November 2015) and trough (August 2015) periods for electric irons across the national areas was 517.605 yen.
