Heterosis study using three maize hybrids. Maize heterosis

Heterosis is an important phenomenon in plant genetics, serving as the basis of crop hybrid breeding. Heterosis advantages in maize hybrids are very strong, in which the underlying molecular mechanism is rather complex. We present a large-scale genomic analysis using offsprings of elite maize hybrids, which identified many loci underlying yield-related traits with relatively high mapping resolutions.
