This code allows for binning of the raw data as in the analysis to some substage levels, then allows reading in of the original pre-calculated extinction rates for the Phanerozoic, and allows a basic version of Figure 1 to be plotted. To perform the exact analyses, the reader is directed to the URL home of the R package divDyn.
