TIKTOK QUEUES IN TOURISM
收藏资源简介:
We were intrigued by the development of TikTok queues for tourist places in Amsterdam. They are claimed to arise from tourists watching TikTok videos. Are these TikTok videos indeed related to the attractiveness of tourist places and the long queues? 147 Tourists in queues for five food places in Amsterdam completed a questionnaire about perceived attractiveness of these food places and possible determinants of perceived attractiveness. We found three types of perceived attractiveness. These types of perceived attractiveness were mainly associated with two factors. The first factor was perceived authenticity. The second factor was trust in social media videos. Anticipated regret and social norms were only slightly associated with these types of perceived attractiveness. These results lead to recommendations that help social media managers to actively manage perceived attractiveness.
