Studies of gut microbial composition on turtle

The Chinese soft-shell turtle concerned in this work is an important commercial species for its high nutritive and medicinal value, but it has been a vulnerable speicies due to habitat loss. The growth, morphology and gut microbial community for turtles (from hothouse and were transferred to different habitats including artificial ponds, paddy fields and natural lake) were originally compared to evaluate the adaptation to various habitats in present study. The variation of gut microbiota were described in detail for the soft-shell turtle would be helpful for health evaluation.
