The volume contains a number of letters from the Colonial Secretary, and later the Principal Superintendent of Convicts, to Presbyterian Ministers advising of the Governor's decision re the marriage of convicts; and form letters certifying the Governor's approval for publishing banns. From 1850-60 the volume consists mostly of declarations that parties are free to marry. (5/7691; microfilm copy SR Reel 741). 1 vol.
