The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed modern healthcare systems, including dentistry. Over the last decade, AI-based technologies have become increasingly integrated into clinical dental practice, fundamentally changing approaches to diagnosis, treatment planning, image interpretation, patient management, and digital workflow optimization. Machine learning and deep learning systems are currently applied in dental radiology, orthodontics, implantology, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and oral pathology. These technologies enable automated analysis of radiographic images, detection of pathological changes, prediction of treatment outcomes, and reduction of diagnostic variability among clinicians.
