This database is the outcome of a DFG-funded research project carried out by the Institute of Art History at the University of Kiel and the Archaeological and Cultural Heritage Protection Department of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck between 2005 and 2009, which records the multi-layered structure, iconographic content, painting techniques, dating, as well as information regarding the houses and their former owners.
