NRS-15732 | Media and broadcasting files from the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Glenbrook Rail Accident

This series of media articles and excerpts of news broadcasts was created by the Special Commission’s Media Monitoring Service to provide the Commission with summaries or excerpts of daily print or broadcast media items from around Australia. In addition to articles and excerpts, details such as audience numbers and demographics were sent to the Inquiry by media monitoring companies. Full copies and transcripts of interviews were provided to the Commission on request. The records provide an overview of public and media reaction to the proceedings and findings of the Inquiry. Included are articles from the print, broadcast, and on-line media. The Commission was also provided with a summary of media coverage of the Inquiry’s proceedings. The series may also include copies of media statements by the Minister for Transport and uncorrected Hansard proofs.
