Meteorological and snow data from Aboa 2010-2011
收藏资源简介:
Abstract: The measurements were made in the vicinity of the Finnish Antarctic research station Aboa (73S, 13W). The measurement period was December 2010 - January 2011. The following quantities were measured: Over snow-covered glacier and blue ice: - downwelling longwave radiation - longwave radiation emitted by the surface - downwelling shortwave radiation - reflected shortwave radiation Cloud cover: automatically by camera every 5 min, visual observations every 6h Over snow-covered glacier: - vertical profiles of wind speed and air temperature in the lowermost 10 m (2 weather masts) - turbulent fluxes of heat and momentum - vertical profiles of wind speed, air temperature and humidity with maximum range of 2000 meters (Vaisala DigiCORA tethersonde system) - vertical profiles of wind speed and direction and echo intensity with maximum range of 800 meters (sodar) - vertical profiles of wind speed and direction, temperature and humidity with maximum range of up to 1000 meters (UAV) - vertical profiles of snow temperature and density - snow grain size and structure (photographs)
