In the present invention， a useful article is manufactured using paper including different types of fiber. In a granulation step， bagasse is pulverized to form a granulated sugarcane powder (step S11). In a pulping step， pulp is formed from Manila hemp (step S12). In a mixing step， the sugarcane powder and the pulp formed in the corresponding steps are mixed together (step S21). In a papermaking step， the mixture of sugarcane powder and pulp is used to form Japanese paper (step S22). In a slitting step， the formed Japanese paper is cut into thin strips (slitted) (step S23). In a yarn-twisting step， the slitted Japanese paper yarn is twisted to form paper yarn (step S24).
