In this project, we present the application of single-cell transcriptomics to a plant-powdery mildew interaction. Using dual-organism single-nucleus RNA-seq (snRNA-seq) to profile host and pathogen gene expression simultaneously, we investigate the transcriptional landscape of infected grapevine leaves at early stages of colonization by Erysiphe necator (strain TS1).
