Water current readings at the 'Red' mooring in the South Central area of Jervis Bay: (Summer) Deployment 1 (06/12/88 to 11/01/89)

A current meter mooring was deployed in the south central section of Jervis Bay between 6/12/88 and 11/01/89. This 'Red' mooring (35.0883 S, 150.7333 E) held four S4 Interocean current meters at various depths (18.5m, 14.5m, 10.5m and 6.5m). \n\nEach of these current meters provided two datasets. In the first, the meter integrates the signals over 2 minutes every 10 minutes, providing 10 min sample readings. The second decimated the samples using a running mean to provide hourly intervals. \n\nThe data provided in all these datasets includes the eastern and northern tidal components, speed, direction and temperature. The datasets providing the 10 minute sample values also give depth and salinity readings. \n\nThe final dataset provides the depth averaged current component data in 10 minute samples at this site.
