The Forest Spatial Morphology Database 1.0 was derived from the UMD Global Land Analysis and Discovery lab's Global Forest Change Database.
Tree cover from the year 2000 and tree cover loss and gain between 2000 and 2012 were used as inputs to a morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA) to create tropical forest fragmentation maps for the years 2000 and 2012 under different scenarios of edge effect, forest threshold, and minimum fragmenting patch size.
Layers were clipped to the country boundary of Peru. Refer to the README.txt file for more information.
