General Transit Feed Specification Dataset for Victoria, Canada

This dataset contains the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data collected from September 16, 2021 to November 1st, 2021. The data contains both the static GTFS Data ("Victoria_GTFS_static" folder) and the GTFS real time data which has been collected into a single comma separated value file ("Victoria_GTFS_rt.csv"). Information on the GTFS static and real-time data can be found at https://gtfs.org/. The GTFS data was originally collected from BC Transit at https://www.bctransit.com/open-data. Also included are GPX files containing 1 Hz geospatial data collected from buses on routes 14 and 27 on different days and times. The GPX data was collected by the researcher.

This data was used to create high fidelity transit bus drivecycle profiles which were then used to estimate the energy consumption of the Victoria transit fleet. The drivecycles were then validated using 1 Hz GPS data collected from the same transit system.
