Integrative Morphological, Palynological, and Plastome Analyses Reveal Phylogenetic Relationships and Species Delimitation in Medicinally Relevant Impatiens Species

This dataset comprises experimental data, images, and supplementary materials for six Impatiens species, encompassing sample collection locations, morphological traits, pollen micromorphology, and habitat distribution maps. Chloroplast genome data for 18–25 species obtained from NCBI are included to support phylogenetic analyses. These data cover genome structures, gene lists, GC content, codon usage, nucleotide diversity (π), gene loss, Ka/Ks analysis, and SSR/INE distributions across the LSC, SSC, and IR regions. In addition, statistical plots of morphological traits and SEM images of pollen are provided. Phylogenetic trees reconstructed using ML and BI methods based on chloroplast genomes, ITS sequences, and integrated morphological and pollen datasets are also included. Overall, this dataset provides comprehensive resources for morphological, palynological, genomic, and evolutionary studies of Impatiens.
