Mycobacterium_abscessus_RNA_sequencing

This study's main aim is to investigate M. abscessus gene expression under differing conditions. There are currently three sub projects that will be part of this study. Firstly, we will examine the change in gene expression when a known virulence factor, the PhoPR system, is mutated. Secondly, we will use RNA seq to see whether the clofazimine resistance mechanism in M. abscessus is due to a change in gene regulation and finally we will use RNA-seq to look at the differential Mycobacteria gene expression at certain time points during macrophage infection.
