Elrond was the Lord of Rivendell, an elven kingdom below the misty mountains. Well respected throughout Middle Earth, Elrond was a member of the White Council and a good friend to Gandalf the Grey. He was crucial in the formation of the Fellowship of the Ring and the battle against Sauron.
