Title paper: Design of debondable composite sandwich structures containing a primer based on thermally expandable microspheres: process window & thermomechanical performance evaluation. Journal: Composites Part A. General information: Authors: Jean-Baptiste Desbrest (LPAC,EPFL), Pierre Garrabos (LPAC,EPFL), Martyn D. Wakeman (LPAC,EPFL), Cristina Garcia-Simon (Huntsman Advanced Materials), Ebrahim Farmand-Ashtiani (Huntsman Advanced Materials), Philippe Cristou (Huntsman Advanced Materials), Véronique Michaud (LPAC,EPFL). Date of collection: 08/05/2026 Funding: This work is funded by the Innosuisse Flagship project no. 107.566 FS-EE "Towards a NetZero Plastics Industry - TNZPI". Data and files overview: Test results are available as raw data in the following folders: DMA data: shows the data for the isothermal measurements on the primer films, for both P150 and P170 primers DSC data: contains the DSC test results for the tests performed on the primer films Rheometer data: initial ramp tests on the primer films to assess range of expansion temperatures TGA data: results of TGA analysis Mechanical characterization: Creep: three-point bending creep tests performed in the DMA, on P170 based sandwich samples. Creep calculations - retardation time shows the data calculation to obtain the retardation times. Flatwise tensile test: two result files of the flatwise tensile tests on the sandwich samples (no primer, P150 and P170 primers). Four-point bending: test results of the four-point bending tests performed on the sandwich samples (different test temperatures, and primer composition. Lap-shear tests: CFRP/CFRP lap-shear test results, for samples with no primer P170 primer Single cantilever beam: test results of the SCB tests.
