aAnalysis were performed by Becton and Dickenson (sparks, MD). The data represent the total amount of each component contained in the Bacto Trypton and Yeast extract used to prepare L-broth. The sodium chloride values also include the amount of NaCl used to prepare L-broth.bThe FSLW used in the microcosm assay was analyzed by Advanced Environmental Laboratories, Inc., (Gainesville, Florida, USA).
