Anoectochilus roxburghii Genome sequencing

Anoectochilus roxburghii is a highly valued medicinal orchid prized in traditional Chinese medicine. This study provides the first haplotype-resolved, chromosome-scale genome assemblies of A. roxburghii, generated using PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and Hi-C chromatin mapping technology. The high-quality assemblies (1.92 Gb and 1.93 Gb) feature contig N50 lengths exceeding 22 Mb, with comprehensive annotation identifying over 26,000 protein-coding genes per haplotype. These genomic resources will enable research on bioactive compound biosynthesis, conservation genetics, and orchid evolution.
