This data set contains all raw data files and figures generated from them that are associated with a publication "Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) - Solid State Polycondensation and the Formation of Monodisperse Extended-Ring Crystals"

This dateset contains all raw data and figures used for a publication (European Polymer Journal) about the solid-state polymerization of poly(trimetylen terephthalates). There, processes occuring during thermal treatment in the solid-phase of such polyesters were investigated by various techniques, such as MALDI, SEC, DSC and x-ray scattering techniques. As a main result, even-numbered cycles were formed as thermodynamically most stable product, which form monodisperse extended-ring crystallites. In contrast, equilibration in the melt resulted in a formation of of polymers with a broad molecular weight distribution showing equal amounts of even- and odd-numbered cycles.
