The study of the whole genome sequences of the local clinical Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) isolates is aims to understand the diversity and drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) patterns among Mtb isolates in Malaysia. Furthermore, the collected data will contribute to the global assessment of DR-TB cases as well as providing novel knowledge on the potential new targets and the development of diagnostics and anti-tuberculosis drug design.
