Windsonds (balloon-borne atmospheric sampling instruments) were launched from the Penn State University Park campus to collect observations of the convective boundary layer (CBL). These observations were used to compare CBL and entrainment zone depth estimates from the State College, PA WSR-88D weather radar (KCCX). Sounding files include measured variables that have been interpolated to 20 meter intervals.
