洛川剖面的午城黄土是可以在野外进行细分的,洛川的午城黄土含有18层古土壤和18层黄土。其中,S15~S23的土壤组合与前人划分的WS1相当,L24与WL1相当,S24~S28与WS2相当,L29与WL2相当,S29~S32与WS3相当,L33与WL3相当。洛川剖面早更新世午城黄土的磁化率分析结果所指示的峰、谷变化与野外的古土壤、黄土划分是可以很好对比的。
The Wucheng Loess at the Luochuan Section is amenable to field-based subdivision. The Luochuan Wucheng Loess comprises 18 layers of paleosols and 18 layers of loess. Specifically, the soil assemblages from S15 to S23 correspond to WS1 as defined in previous literature, L24 to WL1, S24–S28 to WS2, L29 to WL2, S29–S32 to WS3, and L33 to WL3. The peak and valley fluctuations indicated by the magnetic susceptibility analysis results of the Early Pleistocene Wucheng Loess at the Luochuan Section exhibit strong consistency with the field-based subdivision of paleosols and loess.
