NPP Robotics Interview Summary Aggregated

This dataset contains de-identified interview notes and derived summaries from semi-structured interviews on robotics use for inspection and maintenance in operating nuclear power plants (Utilities A–G) and a small set of oil, gas, and petrochemical (OG&P) organizations. Notes are presented in anonymized form (e.g., Utility A–G; OG&P-#) and were reviewed to remove direct identifiers such as company names, plant/site names, and named individuals. The notes capture participants’ reported use cases, realized benefits (e.g., safety/dose reduction, outage efficiency, improved documentation), barriers to adoption (e.g., cybersecurity review burden, data integration, qualification/testing pathways), and desired future capabilities (e.g., contact-based maintenance and condition-based monitoring).
