Spatial transcriptomics to reveal the effects of distant cancers on liver zonation. Mus musculus

Cancers cause various adverse effects on the liver. Such adverse effects include abnormalities in liver metabolism, immune cell infiltration, and so on. It is of note that these findings have been made through the analyses of the whole livers. On the other hand, it remains unclear whether and how remote cancers disrupt the zonated gene expression in the liver. This project aims to tackle this unanswered question by using spatial transcriptomics.
