Metagenome-assembled genomes and supporting data from PFAS-contaminated soils at a spent activated-carbon disposal site in Japan

This dataset supports a genome-resolved metagenomic study of PFAS-contaminated soils at and around a spent activated-carbon disposal site in Okayama, Japan. It contains FASTA sequences for 185 dereplicated representative metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs), a metadata table with genome quality and source-library information, and a mapping identifying the 134 MAGs used in the main analytical subset. Sequencing reads for the eight study samples are deposited in NCBI SRA under BioProject PRJNA1535948. An additional ninth sequencing library contributed MAGs to the catalog but its reads were not deposited in SRA; these MAGs are clearly identified in the metadata table.
