Role of FGF-2 induced non-coding RNA in cancer [II]

We show that IER3 and IER3-AS1 protein coding and non-coding genes mediates oncogenic properties in cancer cell lines when they are induced by FGF-2 which is fibroblast growth factor. Comprehensive analysis of mechanisms behind the regulation of these genes by FGF-2 induction is shown in this study. Characterization of FGF-2 regulated transcriptome in immortalized human embryonic kidney cells HEK293 and cancer cell lines such as HeLa and BT-549 in order to identify common and uniquely enriched FGF-2 regulated differentially expressed genes and biological pathways.
