Wnt1 has major anabolic functions in bone metabolism. We investigated the effect of of Wnt1 on the mesenchymal cell line ST2 by transfecting it with a pLNCX-Wnt1 expression plasmid. We used microarray analysis to detail the global gene expression of ST2 cells 5 days after transfection with 1 µg pLNCX-Wnt1. Overall design: 2 samples generated from pools of 3 independent experiments each were analyzed. Effects of transfection with pLNCX-Wnt1 were compared to transfection with the empty pLNCX vector.
