Potential role of mRNA in facilitating physiological adaptation under low temperature stress in Litopenaeus vannamei

Temperature is one of the most important environmental factors to consider when growing organisms in aquaculture. Any change in the culture water temperature can have a dramatic effect on the growth and survival of aquatic organisms. Many studies have report about the low temperature stress in L. vannamei. However, the detailed role of mRNA in response to low temperature stress is still unclear.Thus,there is an urgent need to identify gene regulation networks and functions that bring about cold-resistance mechanisms in shrimp.
