The data in this accession were collected in SW Atlantic (limit-20 W) from ship NICHOLSON between October 20, 1988 to December 7, 1988. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the US Navy. Sixty one stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC. The XBT data from these stripcharts have been digitized and are present in the current NODC data storage system in C116 file format.
