The aim is to analyze her institutional and social media communication, with particular attention to the evolution of her communicative style from the beginning of her presidency to her responses to global events such as the pandemic and wars. Furthermore, the research seeks to investigate whether and how the presence of specific themes in her speeches indicates a well-defined leadership style, or whether her approach adapts to changing circumstances. I collected a total of 996 Instagram posts using CrowdTangle, 3,517 posts from X via Web Research Assistant, and 196 institutional speeches from the Multimedia Centre of the European Parliament. The data collection spans from July 2, 2019—the date on which Ursula von der Leyen was nominated by the European Council as President of the European Commission—through July 17, 2024, when she was confirmed for a second term
