"The Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) (Bunyaviridae, Nairovirus) is mainly transmitted by the Hyalomma marginatum tick and has been increasingly detected in Europe. Whole genome sequencing of this tick vector will provide the first reference genome for this disease vector and will pave the way for comprehensive transcriptomic and proteomic studies."
