English-to-Ukrainian Simultaneous Interpreting Corpus of International Crisis Discourse (2014–2025)

This dataset documents simultaneous interpreting (SI) in the English-to-Ukrainian language pair across more than a decade of European security crisis discourse. It contains 1,374 annotated episodes drawn from 110 documented public addresses delivered between March 2014 and April 2025.Each episode pairs a short English-language stimulus (≤25 words) with a Ukrainian rendering, accompanied by 30 attributes that capture event metadata, interpreting strategy, and eleven quantitative indices derived from the Linguistic-Cognitive Multidimensional Model of SI Interpreting. The corpus draws on high-level platforms where European security discourse is shaped: the United Nations (General Assembly debates from the 69th to the 80th session, Security Council sessions including the emergency meetings of February 23–24 and April 5, 2022, and Emergency Special Sessions ES-11/1, ES-11/5, ES-11/6, ES-11/7); European Union institutions (European Parliament addresses, European Council sessions covering the granting of candidate status in June 2022 and the opening of accession negotiations in June 2024, four State of the Union speeches, and four Ukraine Recovery Conferences in Lugano, London, Berlin and Rome); NATO summits in Wales, Madrid, Vilnius, Washington, and The Hague, alongside ministerial meetings; OSCE Ministerial Councils and Permanent Council sessions in Vienna; all major Ukraine Defense Contact Group ("Ramstein") meetings from the inaugural session in April 2022 to the spring 2025 round; the Munich Security Conference (2022 through 2025); the World Economic Forum at Davos; G7 summits in Hiroshima and Apulia; nineteen national parliaments where President Zelensky delivered addresses in 2022; and judicial venues including the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and the Council of Europe (Reykjavík Declaration). A separate block covers the White House meetings of February 28 and August 18, 2025.
