资源简介:
This volume appears to record the inventory of plant put up as security by the applicant for a loan under the Gold Mining Encouragement Act and which was subsequently sold presumably for non payment. The front cover of the volume reads ‘State-Commonwealth Grant. Inventory of Plan’ followed by ‘Bill of Sale’. A bill of sale is a chattel (ie asset) mortgage which loanees under this act were required to put up as security for loans under this scheme. (Refer to series description for VPRS 6813.) All of the 50 odd inventories pasted into this volume contain annotations such as ‘sold’, ‘loan repaid’, ‘Dept paid in full’, ‘plant damaged’ or ‘plant damaged by fire practically valueless. The inventories themselves identify the individual or mining company but not the loan application file number. This number, however, appears to have been included in the volume’s internal index. These match with the file numbers recorded in VPRS 6777 Register of Commonwealth-State Grants. This series was originally titled State-Commonwealth Grant: Inventory of Plant by service providers. An evaluation of the supplied documentation in 2025 amended both the series title and series description..
