Phylogenetically related IFV strains circulating before the SAE have been selected and the FSF designation of the site that would become glycosylated is presented in the rightmost column. Related strains were selected if they predated the strain in which the glycosylation sequon arose and were the closest preexisting relative on the generated phylogenetic tree shown in Fig 3.
