Helicobacter pylori strains from a chronically infected individual

This project leverages a collection of 39 H. pylori isolates acquired from a single patient at two time points and multiple different regions of the gastric niche. The main goals of this project are 1) to capture the extent of genetic diversity present over a period of chronic infection using whole genome sequencing and 2) to determine how this genetic diversity contributes to differences in phenotypes related to pathogenesis.
