THE CONCEPT OF RUSSIAN NATIONAL CHARACTER IN THE WORKS OF V.G. RASPUTIN

The article examines the concept of the Russian national character in the works of V. G. Rasputin. The author analyzes key moral and philosophical categories such as conscience, memory, connection with native land, and tradition. Special attention is paid to the system of images, particularly the role of female characters as bearers of spiritual values. The study concludes that in Rasputin’s prose the Russian national character is interpreted as a dynamic category formed under conditions of moral choice and historical transformations.
