资源简介:
Since 2024, the diet quality monitoring system in Guatemala has generated data from more than 400 participants across the central, eastern, and western regions of the country, through the use of the MEMO chatbot and the administration of the DQQ survey via WhatsApp. Methodology: 1. The diet quality monitoring process was implemented in close coordination with local partners, who played a key role in facilitating initial contact with participants and establishing trust at the community level. Through these partners, participants were invited to take part in the monitoring activities and were connected to the survey process. 2. Data collection was conducted using the Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ), administered on a biweekly basis via WhatsApp through the MEMO chatbot. At the beginning of each survey round, participants were presented with an informed consent form and voluntarily agreed to participate. This was followed by a short section collecting basic sociodemographic information, and subsequently the DQQ questions. To reduce access barriers, mobile data top-ups were provided to participants who required internet connectivity to complete the survey. 3. Participants who initiated but did not complete the survey received automated reminder messages to encourage completion and improve response rates. In total, 14 survey rounds were conducted in 2024, followed by an additional 7 rounds in 2025, with an average interval of approximately 15 days between rounds. 4. After each survey round, data were cleaned and validated to ensure consistency and quality. The analysis of diet quality indicators was conducted using Python, enabling automated calculation of key metrics. Consolidated results were shared with participants at the end of each survey campaign cycle, in December 2024 and December 2025, strengthening feedback loops and participant engagement.
