The dataset consists of raw biometric and environmental data (air temperature, carbon dioxide concentration, and relative humidity) for lettuce 'Rouxai' and basil 'Prospera' grown under various combinations of air temperature and photon spectra (blue and far-red light). The data were generated by Jiyong Shin and Dr. Erik Runkle during a study conducted in the Controlled-Environment Lighting Laboratory (CELL) at Michigan State University from 2022 to 2024. The study aimed to investigate the potential interaction between photon spectra (far-red and blue light) and temperature in regulating the growth, morphology, and coloration of lettuce and basil hydroponically grown indoors.
