Cheatgrass Transcriptome Assembly. Bromus tectorum

We sequenced a portion of the cheatgrass transciptome using cDNA from two distinct genotypes and three tissue sources. The assembled sequences were used to mine single nucleotide polymorphisms that we could use as DNA markers for genotyping individual plants. Our ultimate goal is to describe how genetic variation in cheatgrass is distributed geographically and ecologically.
