Muir Wood, Merced Historical Designation

Data used to investigate and prove the historicity of the Muir Wood neighborhood in northern Old Town Merced, California. The data set includes photos of primary sources documents such as newspapers and assessment rolls, spatial data in the form of csv and shapefiles, and R scripts used to manipulate, clean, and prepare data for visualization. This data was collected and studied as part of a Henry Luce Foundation fellowship to conduct community-engaged research. My research partner was the Downtown Neighborhood Association, the Merced County Courthouse Museum, the Muir Wood committee of the DNA, the Merced County Assessor's and Recorder's Offices, and unaffiliated residents of the Muir Wood neighborhood.
