Overexpression of ZePrx in Nicotiana tabacum

We overexpressed the gene that codes for Zinnia elegans basic peroxidase (ZePrx) on Nicotiana tabacum plant to study the participation on lignin biosynthesis of ZePrx. We studied the impact of this overexpression on lignin accumulation and composition, carbohydrate cell wall composition and digestibility, redox homeostasis and overall stem gene expression.
