资源简介:
This study was aimed at investigating the alterations in metabolites and gut microbiota associated with hyperlipidemia, in response to treatment with L. casei CAAS36, a cholesterol-lowering probiotics. 1H NMR was used to monitor the changes in diverse biological media such as serum, urine and faeces in response to high-fat diet and treatments. Fecal microbiome profiling was performed using High-throughput Sequencing of the 16S rRNA. We showed that L. casei CAAS36 obviously affected pathways with common biological functions in family and order hierarchy obtained from three different phyla. The administration of L. casei CAAS36 reversed the rate of Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes increased by HFD, and also specially increased Muribaculaceae related to produces propionate. L. casei CAAS36 improved intestinal flora structure and produces important beneficial health metabolites such as propionate and succinate, which prevent and treat hyperlipidemia and its complications.
