All by Myself - transcripts from interviews with international students with experience of mental health problems.

University transition is widely seen as a time of growth and independence, but for international students with pre-existing mental health conditions, it can also be a period of intensified vulnerability and isolation. This qualitative study explores how these students navigate the dual challenges of adjusting to a new academic environment and managing their mental health in an unfamiliar cultural and healthcare context. Drawing on Self-Determination Theory and Schlossberg’s Transition Theory, <b>we conducted in-depth interviews with 14 international undergraduates at a UK university. </b>The data here is the full redacted transcripts from these interviews. Interviews have been conducted by students, as peer researchers.
