We develop a new global map of dissolved organic carbon transformation potential, represented by the soil-to-water transformation rate Pr, for global HydroBASINS subbasins. This map is derived by combining catchment-scale DOC and soil organic carbon information from a published CONUS Pr map study, global hydro-environmental watershed characteristics from HydroATLAS/BasinATLAS, SoilGrids organic carbon stock data, GLORICH water-quality observations, and machine-learning-based spatial prediction. The main data product is Global_pr_map.gpkg, a global subbasin GeoPackage containing HydroBASINS identifiers, model-predicted Pr values, SoilGrids-derived SOC values, derived DOC estimates calculated as SOC × Pr, and polygon geometries. The archive also includes the input data required to reproduce the workflow and intermediate model outputs, including processed training and prediction tables, feature-selection results, representativeness diagnostics, trained model objects, prediction tables, validation layers, figures, and summary metrics.
