资源简介:
Klebsiella pneumoniae (Kp) is an important bacterial pathogen associated with acquired hospital infections. At present it represents one of the main microorganisms associated with multidrug resistance in hospitals and an important problem throughout the health system with reduced therapeutic options. Carbapenem-resistance in enterobacteria years ago was mainly mediated by beta-lactamase extended spectrum (ESBL) and impermeability of joint presence. Currently this mechanism was replaced almost entirely by the acquisition of KPC carbapenemase (KPC). Several K.pneumoniae sequence types (ST) are identified as carrying BlaKPC, but one prevalent MDR multilocus secuence type, ST 258, was the most disseminated world-wide. 3 K.pneunominae from University Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina were sequenced, bearing BlaKPC blaKPC 2 and belonging to ST 258, 309 and 15.
