EPM28822 was granted to Swansands, a wholly owned subsidiary of Iluka, on 23 December 2024 for a period of five years, expiring on 22 December 2029.
This report covers the work undertaken by Iluka on Exploration Permit for Minerals EPM28822 during the reporting period 23 December 2024 to 09 December 2025, when the tenement was relinquished.
Reconnaissance activities took place on the tenement in July 2025. The results of the reconnaissance revealed the exploration model which was targeted was not present within the licence area. The radiometric responses that guided the tenement application was from a different portion of the stratigraphy and represented an largely-conformable discontinuity or haitus in sedimentary, at a later time, that was both consolidated and unmineralized. Neither observable heavy mineral content or significant radiometric expression that might indicate heavy minerals were present.
The tenement has therefore been relinquished.
